01 / Background

Souqora runs one of the region's largest online marketplaces for household appliances, kitchenware and personal electronics, serving close to a million customers from a network of warehouses. They had outgrown the Magento-coupled ERP extension that was originally bolted onto their storefront — the database was drifting, stock counts were unreliable, and the operations team spent more time reconciling than fulfilling.

02 / Challenges

Magento ↔ ERP drift

The legacy extension lost sync routinely; the catalogue on the storefront often disagreed with the warehouse.

Warehouse fragmentation

Multiple warehouses ran slightly different put-away conventions — moving stock between them was a manual ticket every time.

Barcode discipline

Without enforced barcode scanning, mis-picks were frequent and serial-tracked products went missing in transit.

Slow catalogue enrichment

Adding 60,000 SKUs by hand throttled merchandising — new ranges took weeks to land cleanly on the storefront.

Pricing & invoicing

Cross-warehouse pricing, promotions and invoicing were maintained in parallel — discrepancies surfaced in customer support, not finance.

03 / Solutions

01

Odoo Enterprise on-premise

Migrated the operations stack onto Odoo Enterprise hosted on the client's infrastructure for full data sovereignty and predictable performance.

02

Hardened Magento connector

Replaced the brittle Boostmyshop bridge with a clean Magento connector — bi-directional sync for products, stock, orders, customers and invoices.

03

Barcode-first warehouse

Standardised inbound, transfer and outbound on Odoo Barcode with enforced scans; reserved serial numbers; non-transferable items blocked at the source.

04

AI product enrichment

Layered an LLM pipeline that drafts product titles, descriptions, attribute mapping and category placement from supplier feeds — merchandisers approve and publish in a fraction of the time.

05

Unified pricing engine

Price lists, promotions and bundles modelled once in Odoo and published to Magento — finance and merch finally see the same numbers.

06

Operational dashboards

Live SLA, pick accuracy, ageing-stock and warehouse-utilisation dashboards for ops leadership.

05 / Outcomes

Reliable stock

Sync errors between Magento and the warehouse dropped from a daily nuisance to a quarterly rounding error.

Faster fulfilment

Barcode discipline and clean warehouse routing cut pick-to-pack time meaningfully.

Faster merchandising

AI-drafted listings let merchandisers ship new ranges in days instead of weeks.

Cleaner finance

One pricing engine and one invoicing path ended the rolling reconciliation between commerce and finance.
